Saturday, February 1, 1:00-3:00pm, painter and musician David Moore will give a talk ?Lyrical Improvisation in both Music and Visual Art, the dance of the line,? followed by a musical saw performance, accompanied by pianist Alizon Lissance. As a musician, Moore revives a virtually lost art, playing the musical saw. He has performed jazz, blues, folk and gospel music at many venues and festivals across the country and has been featured on The Today Show and the National Public Radio program (NPR) All Things Considered. As a painter, Moore is the recipient of numerous grants and awards; exhibits yearly and is collected internationally. His current exhibition ?Continuum? at the Old Schwamb Mill runs through March 15. Moore has also been teaching in the Arlington Public Schools since 1991. The Old Schwamb Mill is an 1864 oval and circular picture frame factory and now a living history industrial museum listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
