Description
State of the Town will consist of a panel discussion and Q & A session. The panel will address issues and updates of specific interest to the Arlington business community relative to economic recovery as well as updates on new and ongoing initiatives. The agenda for discussion will include:
- COVID-19 challenges, impacts, and the response of the Arlington Economic Development Recovery Task Force since March 2020.
- Community Development Block Grant funding for small businesses and microenterprises, along with other accomplishments of the past year.
- Discussion of future challenges and opportunities for collaboration between Town and Chamber to improve the business climate in Arlington.
- Discussion of Town's American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) allocations for economic development.
The panel will include Town Manager, Adam Chapdelaine; Director of Planning & Community Development, Jennifer Raitt; Economic Development Coordinator, Ali Carter; and Select Board Chairperson, Steve DeCourcey.
