Description

The Women In Business Breakfast Series hosted by the Waltham Chamber of Commerce goes virtual on Tuesday, September 15. Grab some coffee and join us for a presentation from guest speaker Ashley Haseotes, President & Founder of One Mission.

Ashley Haseotes is a meditation teacher as well as the President and Founder of One Mission, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping children fighting cancer and their families. Ashley graduated from Framingham State College in 1998 and worked in the mortgage industry prior to starting a family with her husband, Ari. Their lives came crashing to a halt when their seven-month-old son was diagnosed with AML, a rare form of Leukemia, and they spent the next six months of their lives living at Boston Children’s Hospital while their son fought the toughest battle of his life. Thanks to the compassionate care and expert treatment he received, their son is now 14 years cancer-free, but during the agonizing 180 days they spent living in the hospital, Ashley and Ari discovered innumerable ways that life within the confines of the hospital walls could be improved. Their personal experience led them to start One Mission in 2009, as a way to fill the holes they encountered, address the needs they went without and do whatever it takes to get patients and their families through the horror of cancer treatment. Helping more than 1,000 patients and families annually, One Mission programs and services reduce stress, restore joy in a time of fear and uncertainty and help children and families get through the emotional and financial challenges of treatment. Programs include music and art therapy, catered meals, birthday parties and special occasion celebrations, financial and housing assistance, and so much more. Since 2009, One Mission has raised more than $12.2 Million dollars and brought smiles, comfort and support to over 25,000 kids fighting cancer and their families.
