Happiness is not a destination, but a practice. Learn how Positive Psychology, the so-called "science of happiness," can help you to create a more joyful and personally rewarding life this year. Certified Life and Career Coach Kim Childs will demonstrate how Appreciative Inquiry, or asking the "right" questions, can direct our minds toward what is good, what is working, and how we can learn, grow and benefit, no matter what happens in our lives. You will be invited to try on some practices in this experiential presentation, and you may want to bring a favorite journal or notebook for the written exercises.
Kim Childs is a Certified Life and Career Coach specializing in Positive Psychology (also known as the "science of happiness"), creative living, and spiritual lifestyle development. She's also a writer and a Kripalu yoga teacher, and she leads workshops every spring and fall on Positive Psychology and on The Artist's Way: A Spiritual Path to Higher Creativity. Kim's writing is featured in Chicken Soup for the Soul, Natural Awakenings magazine, The Kripalu Yoga Center's blog Thrive, and her own blog, A Pilgrim on the Path. You can learn more about Kim's coaching, classes and conscious living ideas at KimChilds.com.
