Sales Associate
The role of a Sales Associate is first and foremost Sales. This requires providing the highest level of customer service to shoppers in the store. A Sales Associate also assists the Store Managers in store operations and maintenance. Previous one-on-one customer service is a required for this position. Experience in fashion apparel or fashion accessories is a plus.
Responsibilities include:
On Sales Floor:
- Provide excellent customer service to all entering the store, from greeting to thanking them as they leave.
- Engage people in warm conversation relevant to fashion, shopping, the Helena’s brand, and the finality of a purchase.
- Demonstrate confidence in selling all the products on the floor. Maintain high product knowledge of new items.
- Mastering all the register functions of the Point of Sale.
Store Operations:
- Maintain the neatness of the store and window displays.
- Maintaining the merchandising plan laid out by a Manager.
- Oversee the restocking of store merchandise on the floor.
- Answer phone requests and take appropriate action and messages.
- Mastering the Opening/ Closing functions of the Point of Sale.
- Maintain the neatness and organization of overstock in the backroom.
- Communicate with managers at both locations about customer requests, customer interactions or any information relevant to the store.
- Closing the store each night in the manner expected. Neat as a pin.
General Expectations:
- Be on time for every shift, and ready for work when your shift begins.
- Commitment to weekly fixed schedule.
- Weekend and weekday availability. Weekend shifts are required for Sales Associates.
- Enjoy connecting with customers and demonstrates a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
- The ability to move quickly and multi-task.
- Perform other duties such as moving displays and cleaning. Must be able to lift 30 pounds without difficulty. Must be able to safely navigate stairs while carrying merchandise.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
