About Us

When musicians are supported, the whole world sounds better. The New England Musicians Resource Fund was founded in 2020 to help provide financial relief to freelance musicians facing severe hardship during the Covid pandemic, and is marking their 5-year anniversary. Since September 2024, the New England Musicians Resource Fund (NEMRF) has increased relief grants by 36% and launched three emergency campaigns to support musicians facing sudden health crises. That’s what NEMRF is all about. Being there when a musician has nowhere else to turn. Whether it was a pandemic 5 years ago, a blizzard that wipes out gigs, or a health emergency that sidelines a performer, we’re here to help. You can help keep this safety net strong that supports professional freelance musicians in a crisis.
